The idea

We at “One 4 Zero” hope to become the first and economically-viable Zero Waste enterprise which contributes to  sustainable and zero waste communities in the Philippines.

To achieve this, we will be engaging communities, local governments, and businesses in developing sustainable and climate-friendly solutions to waste with key focus on waste analysis and reduction, decentralized systems and  waste workers inclusion.

Our team can help you generate your own “Waste Blueprint” by transforming the collected-segregated wastes (from the source) into a valuable resource data – which is essential for establishing and/or improving your waste system.

About the team

We have been colleagues for the past 5 years at Mother Earth Foundation (MEF), an NGO based in Quezon City focused on supporting local government units towards a Zero Waste Philippines. The idea first came during a project meeting 2 years ago, where we saw the need to remodel and innovate our programs to reach greater impact. We discussed it with MEF, who were supportive  – and poof, One 4 Zero was born! After spending the past year brainstorming and exploring business models, we gathered our strength to formally develop it and for the first time joined a regional incubation program through the CIJ. Eventually, we also met 2 former colleagues during the CIJ’s sprint program/elimination round who share the same passion.
