Thailand Waste Management & Recycling Academy
Together with Seedstars, The Incubation Network is running the Thailand Waste Management & Recycling (WMR) Academy program as an initiative to educate, support, and empower local entrepreneurs working on plastic leakage prevention solutions in Thailand.

A selected cohort of 10 early-stage entrepreneurs working on plastic waste leakage prevention solutions in Thailand will undergo a training program to gain a deeper understanding of the market and customer segments, prototype their products and solutions, and receive mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs and experts.
The program is led by mentors and experts from around the region through workshops, continuous mentoring and proprietary tools.
Weekly 1:1 mentorship sessions by mentors and local experts in their respective fields
Entrepreneurial bootcamps taught by experienced entrepreneurs so participants can gain a deeper understanding of the market, prototyping the product, finance, marketing and more
Knowledge sessions on topics such as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Plastic Waste Design Thinking, Circular Economy and more

Being introduced into the Seedstars networks, allowing them to access relevant resources
Joining the Seedstars Alumni Network which informs them about ongoing opportunities and programs
Joining a social media group that ensures informal knowledge sharing and networking opportunities
Supporting periodic check-ins with the mentors to ensure support throughout their journey to build a sustainable impact-driven business
Program Timeline
- Applications open | September 30th – October 22nd
Applications are to be submitted by 23:59 Bangkok time (GMT+7) on 22 October 2021. - Review & selection | October 2021
Applications will be reviewed based on a custom criteria, and shortlisted parties will go through an interview to assess their entrepreneurial mindset.
- Academy begins | November 2021
Over the course of 8 – 10 weeks, the selected 10 participants will go through a program of mentorship, capacity building workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and more. - Program Demo Day | February 2022
Participants were featured on Seedstars and The Incubation Network’s program Demo Day, presenting their pitches to a panel of judges.
